Dutch Open Championship
JaBa Circuit Posterholt - Sunday, 2nd June 2024
The fight for the orange roof will this year be fought right down in the south of the Netherlands and will make its first stop on tarmac since 2021. Defending champion #321 Hein-Durk Vellema is certainly a dirt-expert, but cant be counted out if he is able to safe him a good starting spot on Saturday!
World Of Shale
Speedway Emmen - Sunday, 30th June 2024
The first major championship that has been staged on Dutch soil since introducing the UK style Saloon Stock Cars in the Netherlands has been the World of Shale Championship. We are excited to announce that the World Of Shale will be staged over two days for the first time since 2018 and will also be held on the same weekend as the BriSCA F1 World of Dirt, with qualifying to happen on Saturday night.
King of the island
Speedway Texel - Sunday, 21st July 2024
2023 saw the first visit of Saloon Stock Cars to the nice holiday island thats Texel and certainly made up for some very good stockcar racing action on all occasions. Next year, Saloons will once again be part of the big Stockcar Speedweekend and fight for the King Of The Island Final on Sunday afternoon. The Texel Speedweekend will also be the last round of the 2024 World Qualifying campaign.
World Cup
Raceway Venray - Friday, 17th August
Its been a record breaking weekend in 2023 and will get an even bigger stage during the upcoming season: The most important trophy of the Dutch Saloon Stock Car season seems to be the World Cup Championship - the fight for the red and gold checks. For the first time, this main event will be staged on the same weekend as the BriSCA F1 and F2 World Cups, and the Saloons will come out to play on both friday and saturday night.
Fryslan Open
Speedway Blauwhuis - Saturday, 28th September 2024 (tbc)
After one year of not getting staged due to clashing dates with the Saloon Stock Car World Final, the Fryslan Open will be back on the calendar and be staged at Speedway Blauwhuis late september. With one of the nicest trophys in the sport, this championship will certaintly be one all drivers are aiming for.
Whites and Yellows championship final
Raceway Venray - Sunday, 27th October 2024
Also being staged since the first year of right-hand-drive Saloon Stock Car racing in the Netherlands is the annual Whites and Yellows Championship final. After a german dominance in 3 out of 5 stagings so far, it will be interesting to see who will go home with the honours in 2024.
We hope to be able to publish the full Saloon Stock Car calendar as soon as possible, but last few issues are being dealt with during the time of writing! We hope to be able to celebrate another fantastic season of Saloon Stock Car racing with all drivers, mechanics and fans and hope to see you at the first meeting!
