WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BANGERSTOX – WARNETON – 25.09.2017

 

Only a couple of hours, after PEWI Peter Van Oijen put an announcement about this race on ovalchat, already 5 English drivers wanted to book in.

Therefore, here some more information, about this race.

I do not know the exact rules of the Rookie Bangers , but drivers told me that they are very similar to our Bangerstox; Camso Bangerstox existed already about 10 years, before the Rookie banger  formula started in the UK.

On that day, we accept maximum 110 Bangerstox, as we have 5 other formulas racing, that weekend.

The World Final is a race over 30 laps with between 40 and 45 cars at the start.

The seeded drivers are as follow:

The first 20 in the Camso Championship, on date of 15.05.2017 (Belgian and French drivers mixed)

4 German drivers

6 English drivers

6 Dutch drivers, which are NOT Camso drivers.

2 Wild cards to special guests

The first 3 of the 2 last chance qualifiers, on Sunday morning.

All the cars qualified for the WCh must be in good shape, except the drivers coming from the last chance qualifier. We will not accept cars that are already seriously damaged.

Normally the Bangerstox have numbers from 10 till 250. Exceptionally, and only for these meeting, we allow that the not usual Camso drivers, use their own numbers.

VERY IMPORTANT: ALL the cars (NO exception) MUST HAVE THE CAMSO NUMBERS ON THE ROOF. For the English drivers, the price of the numbers is included in the entry fee. The English drivers can use, for free, a roof plate, adapted to the size of the Camso numbers. They will have to pay 15GBP for the roof plate, but at the end of the meeting, they will have their 15GBP back, when they bring their roof plate back.

Bangerstox are ONLY racing on SUNDAY. Other formulas (Camso V8, Camso Hot Rods, Lightning Rods, Sierra Duo and Prive Cars) are doing 2 races on Saturday afternoon. Each Bangerstox driver will have minimum 3 races on Sunday (or last chance qualif, or WCh + 2 other races). At the end of the meeting, there is a Bangerstox 2 x 2 (2 Bangerstox alongside each other), ONLY for Bangerstox (NO Prive Cars).

The gate opens on Saturday at 11.00am; races for the other formulas start at 1.30pm. At 5.30 there is free practice for Bangerstox only, till 6.00pm. You can stay overnight at the race track.

Sunday, the meeting starts at 10.00am and will finish at 6.00pm. Foreign drivers, which want to stay on the track on Sunday night, can do it. They will have to leave at 10.00am, on Monday morning.

You can only use ONE car during the meeting. If your car is broken, you cannot use a second car or use the car of another driver. Every car will receive a special sticker, so that we can control it.

Drivers, which do not push at all and race like by the Hot Rods, can receive, after a warning, a black cross and go back 5 places at the end result. Bangerstox is a contact formula.

VERY IMPORTANT: ALL the drivers, in all formulas, has to pay to race at Warneton. For the English drivers, it is 40GBP, 2 Camso roof race numbers included. Only the driver has free entry. Mechanics, family etc. has to pay entry (20€ = 18GBP). Kids under 16 are free.

When we have received the race fee, you booking will become final. The first 6 English drivers from which we receive the race fee are seeded in the World Final. Others will have to pass through the last chance qualifier.
